China sets deadline for new ship pollution regulations


From January 1 next year, the People’s Republic of China’s Maritime Safety Administration (MSA) plans to implement new rules on the prevention and control of marine pollution from ships – with slow progress in finalising the regulation, however, there are a number of key issues that still need to be resolved, of which both shipowners and charterers ought to be aware of.
