After reading the report on Introduction and History of Logistics and Supply Chain Management, I had an epiphany about my own understanding of Philippine history. Our country became known in the western map because of the logistical prowess of a Portuguese, who was performing logistical organization for the Spaniards.
The narrative by Pigafetta satisfies each of the descriptions of the key components of SCM, that is, raw material, component, manufacturer, retailer, consumer.
