Apple is so ahead of the game, it is simply taking time for competitors to catch up. Before the iPad, who would have thought that there is sales gold in tablet products?
Demonstrating competitive advantage through market foresight, it was recently discovered that as early as July 2008, years before the successful launch of the iPad, they had already filed a patent for what could only be gleaned at as its stylus.
Had it not been for the concept of competitive and strategic advantage, I am inclined to think they have time-traveling consultants from the future because of their keen grasp of the buying tendencies of their market.
I am not an Apple product fan but I can't help admire them for their business model.
