THREE schools offering maritime courses in the cities of Cagayan de Oro and Iligan with pending phase-out notices claimed they have passed the technical validation panel by the Commission on Higher Education (Ched) in Northern Mindanao conducted on Tuesday.

Capitol University (CU) and the Southern Philippines College (SPC) were among the seven schools offering maritime courses which received a notice of phase-out in May by Ched Northern Mindanao after the inspection in 2012.
