Haiku...Exxon Valdez

HAIKU…EXXON VALDEZ (俳句。エクソン・バルディズ)

"I had so many thoughts on what to post today for my blog…and suddenly, I remember.. “Why not compose something different like…a HAIKU!"

...lody m.

A little 101 please.. Haiku is a very important form of traditional Japanese poetry. It is based on a Zen Buddhist philosophy of brevity and simplicity and is believed to have originated in the 17th century, designed to convey the essence of an experience in a short format. Traditional haikus frequently mention natural themes or images and are often yearning or wistful in tone.

My very own composition followed the Haiku format, three sentences, each containing five, seven, and five syllables and each sentence is somewhat independent of each other, but designed to enhance the other.

Lastly, I have tried to coincide “Kigo” with the current Risk Management assignment regarding The Exxon Valdez.. 1989 Oil Spill …
