Just to share my thoughts, regarding the movement of the holidays by PGMA, I would have to say that as a Filipino, it is beneficial as we have always been family oriented and that we maximize every opportunity we have to be with our loved ones. I believe moving the holidays to make our weekends longer is not a bad idea. However, we should still remember to honor the significance of such holidays, especially those that has changed our country historically.

I do not remember for a very long time that the administration moved the day of the original Holiday. The only rule before is the sandwich day which automatically declared holiday and if falls on Saturday or Sunday it will be holiday on Monday or Friday. It is good once and for all Holidays are declared as early as possible.
